Working From Home Part-1

After attending Catholic grammar school, high school, and even college, the last thing I though of myself was a stay at home worker. I enjoyed the direction my career was going and never though I would be working from home. Once I came to a crossroads I decided this was the best option for me to spend time with my children. You never know when you will come to this crossroads. This could be because of job loss, family situation changes, etc.

The stress and hours of working all the time in the retail management world was taking its toll on my available time with my children. So I decided to "dabble" in working from home opportunities to at least see if I could financially do it without having a negative affect on my children's well being. The real question was, is working from home really an option?" Could I stay at home, make enough money working from home, and spend quality time with my children? Could I have an income that would allow me and my children to be happy from a personal level and a financial one?

My search was just beginning. All of you have seen offers that promise us plenty of money if we make a small investment (sometimes not so small) and do it with little time on our part. The real problem is do any of us know someone who personally knows someone who was successful at one of these offers? Probably not and the fact remains that in life if its too good to be true, well you know!

However, that doesn't mean that working from home will not work. In fact over the last several years we are seeing more trends of people moving out of the work force and working from home than we have ever seen before. This is due to many reasons.

The real benefits of working from home are as clear as the blue sky. They are the quality time you can enjoy with your children and family, the schedule flexibility you get from setting your own schedule, and the cost you save in gas and day care when commuting to an office. There are many benefits of having your own working from home business but the key is finding something you really enjoy and are passionate about.
